Free – £15

Labs are national events for people, groups, and organisations to come together and discuss agendas across creative placemaking and support collaboration across what we all do.

This first network Lab will focus on Community Wealth Building (CWB), using our local economies and natural resources for long term community benefit, digging deep into what this looks like and requires at a neighbourhood scale.

Join us in this exploration for a day of workshops and discussion with speakers from across the fields of economy, geography, and creative innovation to look at examples of CWB and what that looks like within communities – further programme details to come.

For this Lab we are delighted to be hosted by Old School Thornhill (OST). OST are a development trust for their area and have just completed the renovation of a beautiful new hub for Thornhill and its wider community as co-working and venue space and HQ for their work as part of their wider community.

This is a ticketed event, free for What We Do Now members and £15 otherwise – bookings will open soon.

Location: Old School Thornhill, Station Road, Thornhill, DG3 5DF
Public Transport: Buses from Sanquhar or Dumfries, 236, 246 and 246A
