Exciting things are happening in Castle Douglas!

Pop-up circus workshops have been taking place all week and will culminate in the Party in the Park on Saturday 16 July at Carlingwark Loch Park (12.30pm – 4.30pm). The circus extravaganza features juggling, plate spinning, balloon modeling, and more.

Plate spinning

The circus skills sessions have been run by What We Do Now artists Martin Danziger and Keira Manson. Martin is an experienced and award-winning circus and theatre director, workshop leader, and community enabler based in Scotland. Keira Manson is an actor, performer and children’s entertainer.

They have been working with a story writer and public performer Luke Wilson who runs Story Wagon, a touring story sanctuary that gives space for people to write and tell their own tales. You can visit Story Wagon as part of the Party in the Park.
