Collective Working Session

On Thursday 9 February a number of those involved in What We Do Now, including artists and place hub leads, joined together in Stranraer for a collective working session.

Taking place at Stranraer Millennium Centre, the session started with a spotlight session on Stranraer. This included Janet Jones, Art and Engagement Officer at Creative Stranraer, providing an update on the exciting developments in store and a walkabout that allowed delegates to visit the Unexpected Garden and see the new mural by Tragic O’Hara.

The creative development discussions included reflections and updates on the future of the creative placemaking network. There was a focus on how WWDN collectively develops the approaches and practices of communities, community groups, and artists working together. Specifically delegates discussed how the WWDN artists and Place Hubs work together and how the network will support this relationship going forward.
