Reflections – Rory Laycock
As What We Do Now transitions towards an exciting new phase, those involved so far reflect on their experience.
Rory Laycock was awarded the Young Artist Bursary for the Spring Fling in Dumfries and Galloway and was commissioned to produce sculptural installations for outpatients for the new Royal infirmary. His installation work, Freefall Horizon, was part of an international discussion on art and technology for the European Commission in Brussels. He was also a finalist in the Arte Laguna Prize, Venice.
Rory was the emerging artist in Stranraer, working with Hope London and Stranraer Millennium Centre on a number of projects.
